This Saturday marks an exciting milestone for me: I will read auragraphs in public for the first time! I’ll be doing this at the warm and welcoming Thundersley Christian Spiritualist Church for the coffee morning they host the 1st Saturday of each month. If you’re curious about what an auragraph is, let me explain. An auragraph is a visual representation of a person’s energy field, often created by an artist while the recipient is present though can also be done remotely. This unique blend of art and spiritual insight makes for a deeply engaging experience for both the reader and the participant.
As the day approaches, I feel a blend of excitement and nerves. Reading auragraphs among friends is one thing. However, doing it in a church with a diverse audience is another challenge entirely!
The Coffee Morning Vibe
The Thundersley Christian Spiritualist Church has such a beautiful energy and on my numerous visits I've felt it a welcomed and inviting environment especially with their community-focused events, and the coffee morning is a prime example. People attend to enjoy not only tasty coffee and fresh pastries but also to connect, have readings, and engage in spiritual discussions. This inviting setting is perfect for my debut, as it naturally encourages warmth and openness, both essential for this type of spiritual practice.
I find myself thrilled at the thought of connecting with people who are already open to exploring spirituality. Will I truly capture their energy and help them feel seen and understood?

Preparing for My First Auragraph Reading
Preparation is crucial for success. Over the past few weeks, I have practiced auragraphs and gathered the materials I need: my sketching pad, a vibrant set of coloured pencils, and my trusty 0.1mm fineliner. Each element will play a vital role in telling a story about the individual, reflecting their unique energy and emotions.
I’ve also taken time to reflect on my own energy. Grounding myself is vital before entering the coffee morning space. This allows me to connect genuinely with the people I’ll encounter and be present for their experiences.
The Fear and the Fun
Of course, a twinge of anxiety creeps in. What if things don’t go smoothly? What if I misinterpret someone’s energy? What if I drop my colourful supplies all over the floor? Yet, I continue to remind myself that this is part of a valuable learning experience. Each reading is a chance to refine my skills. Even if things don’t go perfectly, I can infuse humour into the situation.
The coffee morning is not about perfect readings; it’s about connection, understanding, and new experiences. When I had my first auragraph reading I was nervous but excited at watching the medium work and provide a truly unique experience for me. Plus, I have no doubt that this supportive community is behind me, which alleviates my worries.
Embracing the Opportunity
As the day of the event nears, my excitement grows alongside those butterflies in my stomach. Reading auragraphs at the Thundersley Christian Spirituslist Church's Coffee Morning is more than a personal undertaking; it’s a chance to spark conversations, share insights, and perhaps even create a little magic in someone else's life.
So, wish me luck! Who knows? I might return with intriguing stories to share. Let’s embrace this opportunity and see where the energy takes us!
